I sat for a while this AM thinking about Michael Jackson and his "untimely" death. He was an amazingly visionay artist, multitalented and multitormented. I watched Thriller and Bad for the very first time this AM. I was experiencing a gammet of emotional thought. I was impressed by his vocal ability, entertained by his dance moves and his choreography, somewhat enlighted by his lyrics. Simultaneously I realized that his eternal soul may be lost, forever. He may be the one described in Thriller, and he is no longer "Bad" in the sense he was singing about. He is now just dead. If Michael did not make a choice for the SAVIOUR, Jesus Christ, none of his religious beliefs or disclaimers regarding the occult mean anything now.
During his lifetime he was accused , but never convicted of heinous perversion. He mutilated his own body under the guise of reconstructive surgery. It had been reported that he was abused by his ambitious controlling father. He chose to make a disconnect and live in Never Land. He lost his fortune perhaps buying his way out of convictions for his crimes. Now he is just dead.
I wept for this today. Life would be so simple if people would realize the price paid by ONE who alone can heal our wounded and broken and sinful selves.
I will eternally miss you, Michael. I loved you in the LORD, and I prayed for your salvation. I ached for you. I wanted you to be whole and healed. I wanted you to be fulfilled and happy. I wanted you to be righteous and just. Alas, you made your choices and now you are just dead. Dead.
